Gotta give Kratz credit. He can at least turn around on a fastball now and again, and he paid his dues. No MLB at bats until he was 30 years old...persistence won that race!!!

George A. King III @georgeakingiii
CC Sabathia rolled left ankle during first fielding drill of camp. “I’m good,” Sabathia said leaving GMS Field with the ankle wrapped. GM Brian Cashman said it wasn’t a concern.

In other news, Eric Kratz has developed a hangnail. The team is concerned about his nail-biting habit and has scheduled a consultation with hypnotist to help him with his addition...Kratz indicated that it's not a concern because it's not on his nose-picking finger...
Speaking of which, I recently got a small cut on the end of the middle finger of the hand I use to wipe my...er something...with. I truly developed an appreciation for the function of that finger...So glad it's healed...The story may not be a pretty one, but I'm wide open for commentary... (:

(: It's a shame because he was in the "best shape of his life" entering spring training. Since you're asking, my virgin colonoscopy went very well. Doc said he removed a VERY tiny and benign looking-polyp and other than that, the traffic on the old Hershey Highway appeared clear...I do have to laugh a bit a the old SNL routine though because "I've got diverticulitis (whine)"...Although that is also very slight...BTW, 80% of Americans have "The big D"...(Whine)... It's really a great feeling having my ass make a comeback and become relevant again. I feel like Goose Gossage with his name in the paper for his fiery rants...Echos of the past...Can't believe he still drums up George in many of his rants... The truth is that my ass will never gain the fame it once had. My ass might as well be Tim Lincecum at this point...(Wonder if the Yankees would really sign him? Great MiLB publicity at the very least...come see "The Freak" one more time before he fades into obscurity...The work out is tomorrow, right???

The truth is that it's the prep the day before that's really bad. You have foul-smelling and tasting stuff to drink, and you have to force yourself to drink a lot of liquids all day. All you can eat is broth or Jello.
The actual colonoscopy is something you sleep through. No after-pain. You don't even know you've been violated...They have you lie on your side before you go to sleep. You're covered with a blanket except for your bum, and you wake up in the recovery room. I was groggy and stayed sleepy throughout the day. I even slept about another 3 hours after I got home. Didn't fart until this morning though. I really missed farting...One of the few things I'm usually good at, you know???
