At least the guys will get their rest days... Do you think Boone will be brought back or not based upon this season? This is the final year on his contract. What must he do to get fired or rehired? He may not make it past the quarter pole of this season if the team keeps playing like it is. Is it his fault? The team looks old and slow, even the younger guys. We’re missing Voit. Stanton looks like the league’s oldest 31-year old. Torres refuses to become a short stop. Almost everyone seems to be playing under their expected skill set. Hicks is a weight in the 3-spot. Hitting in scoring position is horribly double-play prone. Judge is not inspiring with his cranky side (another player looking older than his years). Bright spots? The old guy, Gardner. Sanchez is hitting and blocking balls. His errors have been errors of aggression, so I’m not so upset with them. Cole looks fine, so does the back of the pen, though they’re an afterthought because we can’t get to them with a lead. DJ is doing his job, but he should be a rally starter, and the team isn’t igniting... |
