Great catchers in Yankee history: Bill Higgy Higgy Berra Higgy Posada Higgy Stardust Everybody leaves Higgy Stanley off the list, but he does deserve mention. Higgy Nokes, Higgy Wynegar, they’re clearly a step below. I know Pipps and I were hoping Jake Gibbs would become a Higgy. It just didn’t happen... As for me? I think I’m turning Japanese Jake Gibbs had much more success as a QB at Ole Miss than as Elston Howard's successor. Even Mr. G had trouble generating fond memories of him. But turning Japanese? If The Vapors meant what I thought they meant, that's a seriously passionate response to Higgy's success! |

It can be embarrassing in public... I suppose that song to be cancelled now? Maybe not. Matsui had no embarrassment of his special movie collection... But then he IS Japanese, so he doesn’t have be concerned about turning Japanese... |
