I don't understand bringing in Frazier for Gardner in that situation at all.

Pathetic win, but a win nonetheless. Our 3-7 hitters were 0-17 with 3 walks. That can't continue, can it? wow

Pathetic win, but a win nonetheless. Our 3-7 hitters were 0-17 with 3 walks. That can't continue, can it? wow In theory anything “can” happen. But no. It simply won’t happen. But it will occur again from time to time. If you flip a coin it may come up with heads 20 times in a row or tails 20 times in a row. It’s only likely to happen once in a lifetime. More often the result will be between 10/10 and 12/8. But it won’t maintain a 60% bias over 10,000 flips. But at least it will keep you busy for a while so you won’t stew over this game, or even the whole of this horrendous 5 game losing streak...

our offense reminds me of the ending years of tex and arod. Painful to watch. The end of most athletic careers has a sad stretch at the end. Mike Mussina and Ted Willams are the exceptions rather than the rule...

our offense reminds me of the ending years of tex and arod. Painful to watch. The thing is a lot of our guys are not that old. Teixeira and A-Rod were 36 and 40 in their final seasons. Only Gardner is that old. Whats Gleyber (24), Frazier (26), Hicks (31), and Stanton's (31) excuse?

The Power of Stache! Every man on the roster should grow one! [img src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/jDJlHGGBhpTsTqXnhrCV.gif" class="smile" alt=" "] I agree! I'd love to see a Ford stache on Boone or Gardner! Boone really would look like a XXX -rated porn star. And Gardner would look like one of those things where you move the metal filings around to give the face a beard or hair. The name is escaping me. EDIT: It's Wooly Willy, how could I have forgotten?

And Gardner would look like one of those things where you move the metal filings around to give the face a beard or hair. The name is escaping me. EDIT: It's Wooly Willy, how could I have forgotten? Don’t forget the Etch-A-Sketch... Last night was the first time I got a really good look at Taillon’s face. It could definitely use something, but I don’t know if a well placed patch of hair would really help. I was thinking that he would have been one of those kids where on the first day of school, the role call would go something like: “James... Tail-on? What’s that? Tie-on? How do you spell that James? Okay. I see you have chosen a seat in the back row of my class. I have reserved to seat right up front for you Mr. Tie-On. The one that touches my desk. You see, your reputation precedes you, James. We will get to know each other very well by the end of the year” “Cool, Mr. Hand. I appreciate the extra attention. Watch this everybody”...

I was thinking about Etch-A-Sketch, although it's pretty high tech compared to Wooly Willy. Magic Slate is another from the world of temporary art.
Do they still make disappearing ink? I remember Mad Magazine doing a bit on Alfred E. Newman's ancestors, and among them was the only man to sign the Declaration of Independence in disappearing ink.

I remember Mad Magazine doing a bit on Alfred E. Newman's ancestors, and among them was the only man to sign the Declaration of Independence in disappearing ink. There are several documents I can think of that I would have loved to have disappearing ink. I did better than that once when I did a bit of espionage and was able to make some papers disappear out of my employee file once... probably shouldn’t talk about that one much, but if they had los security measures in place that wasn’t my fault... 😎 And I will say that I did not access any area I didn’t have full clearance to access. The dummies kept that particular file cabinet in my office!
