You're too kind Rizz. But thanks for turning my generational malaise into a virtue! Bill Maher had a good take on Friday regarding the concepts of wisdom and experience vs. a generation that believes if an event didn’t occur within their lifetime, then it’s not worth knowing. All the while, not understanding that many of their generation’s “ideas” are not novel, but recycled and have been tried before and failed.

The Cleveland broadcasters just noted that the last time the Yankees swept a four game series from the Indians was 1996. The winning pitchers in that series were Ramiro Mendoza, Jeff Nelson, Doc Gooden and Billy Brewer in his only Yankee victory. I admit not remembering Billy Brewer's tenure with the Yankees. Neither do I. I don’t remember the player at all.

Anyone that had Reyes for two triples and a stolen base in this series is definitely crazy. (Dome might have bet on that)... Near as I can tell he bet on everything. And then the catch of the year by Frazier!! Whoa Nellie!!

Most of Brewer’s career was spent as a middle innings guy in LA...with a pretty decent ERA...

It was a major failing of my own Boomer generation. At least that narcissistic portion of it that considered itself anointed. The author of Ecclesiastes had it figured out nearly 3,000 years ago. And even he probably wasn't the first.
