I missed the run scoring play by Baltimore. Was it more bad defense by Hicks and Sanchez they are saying? Moon Mullins didn’t stop at third base and caught the Yankees on their heels. Hicks to Torres wasn’t crisp, and then Torres made a terrible throw home, up the third base line. Not even close. Jeter guns him out even with a poor throw, as was usual coming from Bernie! |

I think it was the year that Mariano was hurt. Shagging fly balls if I recall. Nope. I was totally wrong. Lee Smith had a cup of coffee with the Yankees in 1993. I think he had a slice of pie with the Orioles either the same year or ‘94... |
