If the Old Man was still running the show Boone would be on thin ice. Hasn't shown me anything so far. Cashman needs to trade Sanchez while he has the chance. The Boss would have canned Boone by now. He'd be hauling Lou Piniella out of mothballs and going on tirades with the media. At least it would be entertaining. Actually, with Boone's temperament I don't think he would have made it out of year one with George. |

He might have liked Severino and wanted to see him make his comeback. Why? Just because he could. “Ford, Ford, Ford. We need that lad to get 600 plate appearances this year and see what he does with them”. I want Torres traded for anything we can get!, and I want it done today... Easy to see him doing all of those things. He would have approved of the Stanton signing, but would have been riding him so hard that Stanton would gladly forego his no-trade clause. He would have re-upped Cano at any cost. He would have signed Harper, Machado and Realmuto no matter what the pricetag. The Yankees would probably have a payroll of $500 million. |

What's still concerning is the Yankees seem to be getting more hits now but not a lot of runs to show for it.

Luckily Toronto and Tampa aren't doing much better so long as Boston doesn't get too far ahead yankees should hopefully be ok in the long run.

Luckily Toronto and Tampa aren't doing much better so long as Boston doesn't get too far ahead yankees should hopefully be ok in the long run. Boston will fall back to Earth. I'm sure of it.  |
