Judge misses a HR by that much but doubles in Gardner.

We could use a big year from him. I think Gray needs to trust his stuff more and stop nibbling. And please speed up the pace Gray! Speed up the pace! Did Michael Kay hack Kaybli's account? Uh Oh... KAYblie.. Michael KAY.. Hmmm... Good thing I seen your facebook!!

Think about it. Stanton, Judge, Bird, Gardner, Hicks, Didi...all having quiet springs. Who's making noise? Andujar, Austin, Wade, McKinney, Sanchez, Romine, Higashioka, Kratz...The big boys are hold it back until the season starts. Except for Sanchez. He's trying to hold back, but he's too damned good...BOOM!!!

Good to see Bird hit a HR today! He's looked better at the plate this weekend. If healthy, he should be fine.

This is not to my liking...I would like it fine if Gardner was in the lead off spot and everyone else dropped down a notch...I would be okay with it if Gardner had the day off and Ellsbury was getting the start (only if Gardner REALLY needed the day off). Ellsbury could bat ninth...
I also wonder if the team might consider hitting Hicks in the #2 slot, so it would be
Gardner Hicks Judge Stanton Sanchez Bird Gregorious Drury Walker er...I mean Wade
If Hicks can get the OBP back around .400 like he had it for a good portion of last year, I'd love to see him in the #2 hole. Get some guys on base for those bombs, Aaron (Boone, that is)...

Beyond me how that lineup managed to score zero runs. At least Tanaka pitched well. That's what is important. Judge leading off is the goofiest idea. I really hope they don't do that in the regular season.

I liked a comment I read somewhere from a sports writer who's name evades me. He mentioned that he didn't know if the Yankees would put Walker in the game or they would rather not "expose him" to a division rival before the season started. Expose what? He's a .270 hitter with average power...He's going to be who he is whether the Red Sox see him in ST or not...Sometimes those guys must be so desperate for something to fill their columns that they write the most embarrassing drivel you can dream up...

Some of this spring training nonsense has got out of hand, but Tanaka pitched yesterday against the Red Sox, so I guess he wasn't afraid of being exposed.
