After that last masterpiece, it's jarring to see Cole get knocked around this much. He was due for one of these. No one can be that good all the time. That’s not what my father told me. If I pitched a one-hitter, the first thing my dad would say is “So, what the hell happened on that pitch?” |

You could tell it still got to him even after a HOF career. |

Two boys that were pretty good players when we were growing up had a father that would beat them if the struck out, made an error, etc..
As for me, my father had no clue I was alive, so I played my heart out for me...

With Frazier up, we might as well have had Gardner try to steal home. Then again, Frazier would have probably swung and crowned him, so never mind...
