The usually reliable bullpen gives up 4 runs in 4 innings. It turned out to be a good time for them to blow up...

Okay, still gallivanting around Kentucky solely to assist the Yankees' starting pitchers. They continue to be unscored on in my absence through five starts, which is pretty much how I drew it up.
Since I was immersed in graduate-level Bourbon studies and couldn't watch the game, was there any logical reason to remove Taillon after five? Was he faltering? How badly can you be faltering when you have not allowed a run?
And not to get too cocky -- but back to back no-nos for Kluber? It's been 83 years -- baseball is due -- just throwing it out there. Johnny Vandermeer can't forever be the only one.
I refuse to return home until a Yankee starter allows a run. I make this sacrifice no matter how many Bourbon tastings and horse farm visits it takes.
Louisville Slugger factory tomorrow! Gotta take a few cuts with that Tyler Wade model.

Have you ever tried the restaurant Havana Rumba in Louisville? My sister’s partner says it’s one of her favorite restaurants. She says it’s really good!

Mostly because it was cheap. Also because it was greasy...

Have you ever tried the restaurant Havana Rumba in Louisville? My sister’s partner says it’s one of her favorite restaurants. She says it’s really good! Happy to do my part, Rizz. Actually we are staying in Lexington and so far have kept to the breathtakingly scenic horse and bourbon venues. We've been to the Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace and Maker's Mark distilleries. The pattern so far has been horses in the morning and bourbon in the afternoon, and I find this lifestyle agrees with me!! I told my wife that I am ready to devote the rest of my life to breeding thoroughbreds. She gave me the well- practiced eye-roll. Seriously, she's a horse devotee from way back. I even took riding lessons when we were dating to keep up with her. She saw through the whole ruse but married me anyway. We visited Claiborne Farm, which is where six of the thirteen Triple Crown winners were born or raised. Including the one and only Secretariat. We saw the breeding shed where he was conceived, the paddock where he lived out his days and his grave. It is one of the few graves I would care to pose at. And we got to spend time with some of the world's most prestigious stallions -- we're enough into horses that it would be the equine equivalent of hanging out with the Yankees for half a day, except that as far as I know even the Yankees don't get $250,000 a shot three times a day to impregnate different partners up to 150-200 times a year. Nice work if you can get it. Lots of other horse stuff that would be boring to normal people! Anyway, crack of dawn tomorrow to get to Churchill Downs for the morning workouts, then lunch at The Brown, my old standby hotel in Louisville, then to the bats, then to the nearby town of LaGrange where we made arrangements to visit the home of the pioneering director D.W. Griffith. We're both silent film enthusiasts so this is big in our world. But no dinner plans so I will look into your restaurant recommendation, for which I sincerely thank you!!
