That’s the least imaginative JOMBOY, I’ve ever seen. We’re turning him into a mediocrity, too.

I was curious about Chapman coming in to hold that tie in the ninth. Maybe it has to do with the idiotic runner on second base in extra inning rule, and perceived percentages. I think tonight proved it to be poor strategy...

Basically shut out by the worst bullpen in baseball.
Anyway I dunno this team is weird sometimes like I seem to get the feeling some of these games management is just like looking too far ahead and doesn't really care about the game at hand too much. It's just like with the lineup choices and decisions the attitude is like well we don't want X hurt later so lets bring in someone that totally hurts our ablity to win and if it doesn't work out long as we win 2 of 3 its fine.
Ok, but the problem with that... lets say they keep winning 2/3 of their games from here on out that would give them 103 wins. However, we all know theres going to be series where they won't win 2 of 3 and if theres a few of those it brings them down to like 97 wins. Still very good, but that might not be enough to take the division if Tampa/Boston keeps up this pace (not guaranteed). Both Tampa and Boston basically are where they are thanks to a 9+ game winning streak each. The Yankees got their record mostly on series wins vs having a 10 game winning streak or something.
Point im trying to make is this.. if the ceiling is 103 wins or so you can't just keep giving away games for the sake of long as we win the series it is ok. I feel the Yankees should have about 10 more wins right now with all their missed sweep chances or give away games like this.
Anyway they are 13-6 since their record was 16-16 this would be starting with the second game in the Wahshington series so you can't really be too annoyed I guess its just in those 6 loses 2 of them were today and the 1st game of the double header that seemed winnable if the right players were playing. Then you got the game in Baltimore Monty couldn't hold a 4 run lead.
So this team if managed the right way could tech be 16-3 in their last 19 with their only 3 losses being the blowout loss to Tampa, the game Kluber got hurt vs Toronto, and the Cole game in Texas.
Is 13-6 still good? Sure, but its annoying when half the losses seem to have been winnable games if the management played the right players in those situations.
