Yankees might have gotten away with the fake foul ball. Inconclusive at best. One more strike now. What happened? I missed it.

But on replay it might have missed his bat completely which should have been a wild pitch (or maybe a passed ball?). The runner came all the way around to score from second but was called back with the umps saying it was a foul.

It was a dead ball once it was called foul.

I think for sure Guriel fanned on it, as did Sanchez, resulting in CB Bucknor getting hit in the facemask and not really processing what happened. I'll take it for sure, but I think the Yanks stole this one.

Yankee fans are ridicolous. Yes that "foul" call was bizarre, but the Yankees never get those calls so after the ODOR strike vs Boston I wouldn't be mad over this.

Supposedly, it evens out over the course of a 162 game season. Not certain that I agree. But, this season it has been the self inflicted wounds that have more often bled the Yankees out of the win column.

In the world of dots, the only think I knew was that the dot-maker first called it a strike-swinging, then placed a new dot calling it a foul. The dots never got to leave the bases and the scoreboard never offered a hint that the game might be tied up. Remember when Sanchez hit the eventual game-winning homer? What did I say? We got away with the very passed ball/bonehead play that I predicted.
But here’s the beauty of it. When a team is going bad, that play goes against you. You growl about finding yet another way to lose. When a team is going well, somehow you get the call and the other team cries out in pain.
The dot experience is eye-opening. Sometimes, I’m amazed at Russ’s confusing viewpoints. Sometimes he just never saw anything. Renfield is more direct about knowing he’s missed something and will speak up to ask for help…

What happened? I missed it. Sanchez's defense was bailed out by the umps miss. The same Sanchez that hit the game winning HR and the same Sanchez that made a bullet throw to 3rd base to nail Vlad Jr. after Chapman nearly messed up that easy out?

The same Sanchez that hit the game winning HR and the same Sanchez that made a bullet throw to 3rd base to nail Vlad Jr. after Chapman nearly messed up that easy out? Sanchez giveth, and Sanchez taketh away, for that is the disturbing nature of that beast. He gets very hot. He gets very cold. He makes plays with his arm that will amaze you. He makes plays with his mitt, legs, and his brain that are some of the most disturbing you will ever see in the game. He can be very polarizing, depending upon which Gary you perceive to be the real one. The truth is they both exist. If you want one, you have accept the other. He’s our team’s version of “Sybil”…

Higgy obviously is not consistent enough to replace him, but I dunno its just Sanchez's whole demeanor with how he plays and the whole you never know what you are going to get which annoys me.
