Game #83: Mets (Megill) at Yankees (Nestor)

I never would have thought Odor would become more valuable to the Yankees than Wade.  Was it the bunt today?

Looks like some of my stocks.  I no longer know what to think about this assemblage of Yankees.  I see Hal gave Cashman a vote of confidence the other day, which sometimes precedes giving him the gate.  Cashman has done some good things, but someone(s) has to pay for such a failure to compete well with teams having much less financial ability.  I would like to see a new front office approach, if only to give a reason to hope things will get better.

Those 3rd games in series they gave away earlier in the year look big now since that was like 6 or 7 throwaway games.

I’m glad to have read comments in one of the threads tonight where there have been some further discoveries about Tim Locastro and his unusual approach to the game. Go ahead, throw inside. He doesn’t mind getting plunked. And he’ll take a walk or bunt his way on. He’s got some skills that no one else on this roster have.

Now that he’s here, and Urshela has shown that he won’t embarrass himself at SS, Wade has been demoted. That’s not a bad thing. He’s not really been a difference maker of any kind. His time here is likely over soon. It’s time to move on.

BTW, Locastro did look good kn the field in game one today. I kind ghe way he runs. Not just the speed aspect, but he runs smoothly, with obvious agility…
