Does anyone know who our backup catcher is? Robinson Chirinos is now the backup catcher for the Chicago Cubs.

One of the things that I liked about Joe Torre was as soon as someone would get a call up, he almost always inserted them into the lineup, taking away the nervous anticipation and making them feel a part of the team immediately. I would have liked to have seen Park instead of Odor, but perhaps that’s too many AAA players at one time.

Didn’t he have a good spring training? Seems like he had a homer or two. I wish we could have kept Chirinos - I like that guy. Really positive and loves the game. Alas, the days of having three catchers on the roster are long gone. |
