I've been away for a few days and missed some Yankee games. Can anybody explain to me who these nice people in pinstripes are?

Nothing too exotic. Family events in Pittsburgh, visit with a friend in Gettysburg and a few days hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Not much WiFi there! |

Nothing too exotic. Family events in Pittsburgh, visit with a friend in Gettysburg and a few days hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Not much WiFi there! Cool! I visited Gettysburg when I was young but I don't remember much. I went to Pittsburgh when I was a teenager. Almost went to school at Carnegie Mellon but I took the free ride at Stevens Tech instead (my Dad's a professor there). |

I visited Gettysburg when I was young but I don't remember much. I went to Pittsburgh when I was a teenager. Almost went to school at Carnegie Mellon but I took the free ride at Stevens Tech instead (my Dad's a professor there). Hard to argue with a free ride to a good school! I have a good friend who went to Stevens and he swears by it. Gettysburg is a really nice town, above and beyond the obvious historical interest. A lot going on there. My friend there is a retired prof from Gettysburg College who is a baseball fanatic. My poor wife had to listen to a lot of Eddie Plank stories (he knows Plank's descendants there) but he also is very knowledgeable on Abraham Lincoln and that sparked her interest a bit more. |
