Having Wojo pitch for us today is truly nostalgic. It has the exact same feeling as the old days when Sidney Ponson would keep coming back to us like a punching clown. We had Sergio Mitre then, too. But somehow Mitre with that hard sinker seemed to have some promise. Ponson was obviously going nowhere by then… sort of like Wojo… I predict 2.2 innings, 7 baserunners for Wojo. We just have to help him bend but not break… he’ll give up 4 hits and a combo of 3 BB and HBP. I’m so ashamed that he’s pitching for the Yankees…

“The Yankees outrighted Hoy Park to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.
Park's removal from the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster clears a spot for right-handed pitcher Asher Wojciechowski, who is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Phillies. During his brief stint with the big club, Park appeared in one game and grounded out in his lone plate appearance. He was enjoying a big season at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre prior to his call-up, posting a 1.016 OPS in 44 games.”
One freaking pinch hit appearance for the left-handed hitting Park.

Should have just kept him in Triple-A if they were going to do him like that.

Two of my favorites.

This season, Asher Wojciechowski has not thrown more than four innings, having done so (4 innings) only once in his last appearance. He has a 5.68 ERA thus far in the minors this year over 12.2 innings with 17 strikeouts. So, even with a sterling performance, Boone will get to make a move during the fifth inning, his greatest pleasure.

Im sure he was thrilled getting his debut and a big league paycheck, stinks he didn't play much but hope he enjoyed the experience and took some things out of it.

Bet he's in one of the Pittsburgh, Texas, Arizona organizations by next week. Couple nice K's in the dirt to Sanchez, eh Rizzuto? I kid I kid!
