I hope they did. I liked those two. Are you still in touch with them? Unfortunately not. I thought I had their real names from the Wounded Warriors Mr G. Donations, which I could have used to look them up, but I can't find those now either. Disappointing.

Rizzo! Now there is something which has me excited. I have admired the guy a lot with the Cubs. He will cut down on his swing to make contact when it is needed. Great defense. Solid teammate. He is going to fit well in the Stadium. This is a classy move for the Yankees. They might win me back if they start to play better, smarter, baseball. And, if Boone can just put his team in the best position to win strategically.

Wonder if those two tied the knot and stayed together? What? I can’t add a little soap opera to the forum gang without getting “looks” 👀? … I hope they did. I liked those two. They were definitely fun… hihihi! (DK’s laughing)…

Lots of sorrowful Cubs fans following the trade of their most popular player. Anthony Rizzo has a big, likable personality and a huge heart for causes and community. The Cubs made a lowball offer prior to the season, essentially telegraphing that he wouldn’t be resigned. The main negative for Rizzo is a chronic back problem, which has affected him the last couple years. When healthy, Rizzo is a hitter with a two strike approach who can work a walk or shoot the ball to the opposite field. No doubt he’ll enjoy right field in Yankee Stadium. Rizzo is a solid first baseman, though I’ve seen some miscues this season that have surprised me. Still, he’ll be the best first baseman on the Yankees easily.
Rizzo smiles constantly and talks the ears off anyone at first base. He doesn’t take himself too seriously, has a great sense of humor, and plays hard. In a foot race, he probably would beat Voit, but it would be close. Solid addition for the rest of this season. He’s an easy guy to root for.

Since May 4, .259/.353/.451. It’s not what you hope for, but it’s still .804 OPS. And 12/2/9 EXBH. A spark plug type with good defense. Let’s take it,
And as far as Voit goes… if he stays, let them fight it out…or platoon…
