Alcantara is a pretty decent pitcher. He tied for the NL lead in losses with a 6-14 record, but also tossed a couple of shut outs that season. Career ERA+ of 118 for some poor teams… Yup, he's tough. Monty needs to settle down and be on his game. |

Wade was probably out on the overslide/transition, too. I do hate that holding the tag BS though…lifting a body part once you’re safe shouldn’t be a penalty. A complete overslide past the bag should allow a tag out, but not pulling your hand away because you jambed a finger, etc…

For the record, I think the Field of Dreams game is stupid. It might have been a good idea for a minor league all-star type promotion. A mid season exhibition game? Snorefest. I wonder if Boone will rest anyone in a real game because they have to play in that game?…
