Looked like a gift call at the end but the Yankees win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! According to the dots, strike 3 caught the top and edge of the zone. Strike 1, not so much.

The Yankees sure keep it on the edge. I am just amazed by these guys lately. This is not your grandpa's Yankees who bludgeon other teams, but they are interesting now. I don't want to jinx them, but keep it going guys.

Somehow this team is still fighting for a playoff berth, but i can't point to anything they do particularly well and a lot they are terrible at. The bottom 3 of our line-up tonight had a COLLECTIVE batting average of right at .430. Yet, we win another close one. Go figure.

Playoff implications:
Red Sox No Game Toronto No Game Seattle No Game A's lose 5-2 Rays win 9-2
So that puts it at:
Rays 47 losses Astros 48 losses * White Sox 50 losses * A's 51 losses (Yankees lead season series 2-1, 4 left) Red Sox 51 losses + Yankees 52 losses Toronto 54 losses (6-6 season series, 7 left) Seattle 56 losses *
*= Yankees have clinched season series vs these teams + = Yankees cannot win season series vs these teams

You going to believe the dots or your lying eyes What a wonderfully descriptive and bittersweet tale put to music. It has some of the same elements as Harry Chapin’s “Taxi” and the equally brilliant “Sequel”. It reminds me of a couple of girls from my high school, one in particular. I wondered how they’d ever make do in the world when their looks faded and they could no longer use them to manipulate people…

But you know how adding a little seasonings to a dish can really turn it into a winner. We have a pretty good chance. But I think some young spice is in order.
