Don't you dare cancel that package.
We need you here on the game threads. I've had it for years. I just miss the pitching duels that you used to get all the time that you rarely see anymore, plus all the strikeouts and shifts are hurting the sport. I agree

Baseball's losing me. I'm glad the Yankees are wining but I don't find this brand of baseball with a parade of relievers from the 5th inning on entertaining. Throw in all the strike outs and I'm wondering why I keep spending money on the Extra Innings Package. We are of like mind Chi. In fact I didn't renew my Extra Innings package this year. But they keep sending it for free. lol, I'll take it for free. Direct TV does that with me and the NFL Ticket. I've never ordered it but I've had it for free for the past 4 or 5 seasons.

I too hate the quick hooks, shifts and strikeouts. But I wouldn't go as far as to stop watching the Yankees over it.

I'm trying to think of the last time a Yankee rookie starter had such impressive starts to begin his career. My mind drifts back to Mel Stottlemyre in 1964. But there must be someone more recent. There never has been a start like Gil's.

We can't lose you guys. Keep watching the Yankees please!
Oh I'm still watching Kaybli. I've been following baseball closely for 65 years and I still get excited about the Yankees when they are doing well. But I have never gotten less enjoyment from the game than I do now. Just the overall approach, especially the diminishing role of starting pitchers and the endless parade of mostly anonymous and interchangeable relievers whose names I will forget in a month. Plus unending injuries keeping star attractions out for long periods. Three true outcomes. I still love the game. It's in my DNA. But it's not as much fun for me personally.

The good thing is, the Yankees being the Yankees, they're on the MLB Network and ESPN alot. Both of these games today were on the MLB Network.

Peralta might have just made the best play I’ve ever seen a pitcher make. I could much more easily expect to see that ball thrown away…

He got it for about five years and canceled five years ago, but they keep sending it to him. I don't know how those companies make any money.
