Honestly, how confident were you guys that it would be the Yankees extending the winning streak tonight? I would say that I was about 60% we would win… Then, we have tomorrow to deal with. All good things have to come to an end, but I’d sure like to see this keep going a few more games. I’m not as confident about what’s going to be happening in a couple weeks after the cool down… I feel like tomorrow the streak ends. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s just how I feel. Ideally we get out of Oakland with a split and I’d be fine with that. As far as the rest of the season goes, I feel like the season really comes down to the stretch starting September 10th with a series against the Mets in Queens and ending with the Rangers in the Bronx. It’s 13 games against the Mets, Twins, Orioles, Indians, and Rangers. We really need to take care of business there. |

Perhaps the job best goes to a veteran. I don’t think Gil is yet being considered for a full time starting rotation position. Scranton Shuttle is alive and well… |

It could be easy to just assume victory while a bunch of teams with nothing to lose can come out of the shadows. Even more important than that little stretch is going to be what comes in between. We have to keep ourselves in a position to make every game count… |
