Man, this team just keeps shocking me. It seems not so long ago that we were quite a few games out of the wild card and looking like the season was over. And I'm again reminding everyone of how wrong I was about this team (pre trade) and blaming it all on Boone.
Sometimes it is nice to stand corrected, but let's hold on here. Season's not close to over.

Season's not close to over. Yeah. me too. Kudos to those who held faith all season that the team would finally gel. I hated their early season dumb playing. Also, their early season dumb manager decisions. I finally had only hope left, without any logical reason to have hope. I am just sitting back and watching. Watching what seems like an improbable team that is in serious contention for post-season accomplishments. It will be fun if they scare some people or just play out of their minds and win it all. Either way, this has turned out to be a good season. A nod of respect to Anthony who was a leader in not giving up even when they were playing terribly.

As I said back then and I still say now the numbers don't lie. The Yankees only have a losing record against these teams:
Rays 7-9 Red Sox 6-10 Mets 1-2
That is it..
They needed to just improve the record vs those teams and they have lately because they don't have a losing record against any other team. It's totally possible by the end of the season they could have a 500 or above record against every team but the Red Sox.

Pretty wild in span of two weeks their postseason odds jumped 54%.

Dave Stewart makes Mike Tyson sound manly… Is that Dave Stewart like the former A's player or someone else? The former player. I think he was arrested once on some bizarre cross-dressing prostitution charge. Can’t recall the details. Or maybe I’m blocking them…

Is that Dave Stewart like the former A's player or someone else? The former player. I think he was arrested once on some bizarre cross-dressing prostitution charge. Can’t recall the details. Or maybe I’m blocking them… I got this from Wikipedia. Not sure if I remember any of this correctly, but I think the police found Stewart and the prostitute asleep in a van one morning. They may have passed out. In 1985, Stewart was arrested on suspicion of lewd conduct with a prostitute later revealed to be a transvestite.[95] After pleading no contest to a lesser charge of soliciting a prostitute, Stewart's judgment was a fine, probation, and a suspended sentence.[96] Two days after the arrest, Stewart was honored with the Good Guys award from Dallas-Fort Worth sportswriters. Accepting the award, he admitted both his guilt and that he was ashamed.[1]
