For all our wins it is I still have a hard time imagine winning a WS with this offens. It’s simple. Close your eyes and click your heels while singing “Just what made that little old ant, think he can move a rubber tree plant”. Love seeing Rizzo standing up close like that. I always did that. Closed stance allowed me to get to the ball in front of my body and keep it fair… I'd like to see him get hot at the plate again. I’m sure he will, but this is a good reminder that we acquired a player that was having an offseason at the back end of his prime. I wouldn’t compete too hard for his return… Great respect, and I lobbied for his acquisition for the past three winters. Time waits for no one. The short porch here might be his career saver if he doesn’t get greedy and over value himself… |
