I still do not understand the over use of the fastball for Cole in the first two innings to a fastball crushing lineup. He held on to that knuckle curveball far too long. If he had featured that pitch in the first two innings, this ball game would have been much different. I don't know why they called for so many fastballs. Just hoping Cole doesn't crap the bed in the wild card game or game 163. |

Mariners just keep winning. Yankees are very fortunate Boston is behind them and not ahead. A win tomorrow is key though. |

They beat Ray both times they faced him he didn't go over 5 innings in either start. The biggest challenge will be keeping the Jays down in runs and hopefully getting ahead and staying there. Todays loss wasn't the end of the world, but it would have helped if they won. However look theres 4 games left and they still lead all of these teams. You want to be ahead not behind. |

The biggest challenge will be keeping the Jays down in runs and hopefully getting ahead and staying there. Todays loss wasn't the end of the world, but it would have helped if they won. However look theres 4 games left and they still lead all of these teams. You want to be ahead not behind. Your positive attitude this entire season has been refreshing, Anthony. I was positive the team sucked, positive they were staying home at playoff time, positive that Torres was draining the life out of us, positive that Stanton would never get another meaningful hit. Positive that the pitching wouldn’t hold up. Positive that Boone should be canned. I still hold to some of those positives. You know, that’s a lot of positives, yet I get no credit for them.., 😂 |

Anthony's approach is more low-key than MrG's emotional cheerleading, but he is always so logical in pointing out the realistic possibilities when things aren't looking so hot. With a team as erratic as any Yankee team most of us have ever seen, Anthony has done a great job of keeping things in perspective. Unlike me, he never blurts out things that are contradicted in the next game. |
