That would be hilarious if Boston missed the playoffs, unless of course, the 2nd wild card team beat the Yanks next week. Then it wouldn't be so great. Boston now tied with Seattle for the second Wild Card spot at 89-70. It's going to be an interesting final weekend. I have a feeling we’ll be in the mountains at least one day of the excitement. Final chance to leaf peep, and Ruthie has been pretty much stuck here in the house since Brandy passed. It’s quiet, even with the TV on… I know she’ll want to go somewhere… |

Green gets hit way too hard too often for guy with his stuff. This is his 66th appearance, which is fine, but he’s also now over 83 innings. It’s showing in his stats as his second half BA against is up from .179 in the first half to .208. His second half OBP had increased by .034. The real bit show is in the SLG, which was .33(something) in the first half vs. .44(something) in the second half. It’s pretty evident that he’s been asked to go two innings a few time too often. Also the first half ERA at 2.89 vs. second half at 3.60… Give the dead man some rest, Boonie… |
