Boone went to the Joe Girardi School of Bullpen. Maybe the Yankees should have took Cone serious when he said he was interested in being the Yankee manager, he certainly knows pitching better than anyone in the Yankee dugout. |

I don't get walking Donaldson here. I hope it works. I've never really liked the IBB in most situations especially this one. It seems like Smoak always hits vs the yankees even with his .125 average and 1 grand slam or whatever the hell it was.This is a bad Blue Jays team. Yankees should have easily taken 3 of 4. Also pitch to Donaldson theres only 2 guys on base. |

Cone was right....it is not second-guessing when the proper move is clear....let the experienced Robertson try to make good pitches to Donaldson....first, this is not a healthy Donaldson, and second, pitching to a hot hitter like Smoak with the bases loaded was far riskier than trying to get the out from Donaldson.........Cone said something about the numbers being in favor of what Boone chose to do....we got burned by a small sample set...
