How bout something to pass the time during this stupid lockout.
I start with a player. The next poster takes the last letter of the last name of that player and posts another player whose first name starts with that letter (i.e. Tony Womack leads to Kei Igawa leads to Aaron Boone). You can also add a picture, a little blurb on the player, whatever....
I'll start with my favorite...
Tony Womack

Just an example, I'll continue. The 'k' from Womack's last name leads to....
Kei Igawa

Xavier Nady - The Yankees acquired him in 2008, hitting .330 with a .919 OPS. The Yankees received .268 and .794, and then he got hurt. Never reclaimed his production with the Pirates for the rest of his career, which ended in 2014 at the age of 35, playing for four different teams after the Yankees. Whoops! I didn't read the instructions well enough!

The notorious Aaron Boone, traded by the Cincinnati Reds to the New York Yankees in 2003 for Brandon Claussen, Charlie Manning and cash. Alas, the mild-mannered idiot was soon released before the 2004 season after injuring himself playing pick-up basketball, which was forbidden in his contract. If not, we may never have acquired Arod and his embarrassments.

(lol, I love the phrase "mild-mannered idiot)
Eduardo Nunez! El Phenomenon! Dome used to swear he would be an MVP candidate.
Many errors later he actually had a good season or 2 after he left in Minnesota and Boston. Last we heard he was released by a Chinese Baseball Team.
(Just as an aside, lets not quote the previous post to keep things clean )

(Just as an aside, lets not quote the previous post to keep things clean ) Leading to Zelous Wheeler, a .193 hitter with a couple HR in his only MLB action with the Yanks in 2014. Would you believe Wheeler is already 35 years old? …

Inger ignoring my don't quote the previous post directive. But that's okay, we still love him for participating!
Zelous Wheeler leads to Robinson Cano! Young promising career ends up with steroid usage and being an albatross on the Mets.

And that brings Us back to Z! Zack Britton That’s Zack not Zack Just believe and Zack will be back Don’t say Zach He’s always Zack With his sinker He’ll again have a sack Hope he gets his Sinker back! (I fear we shall soon run out of “Z” names)

Yes the combination of Spanish names ending with z and a lack of first names starting with z may be a problem.
Anyway, on to Nick Swisher!
Goofy and lovable. Though hated on by Ozzie Guillen and Tmarino (Nick the Butcher)

Reginald Martinez Jackson Love him or hate him, when at bat, all eyes were on him and a current of electricity flowed through the crowd. Mr. October. Nobody wanted the stage more than Reggie Jackson.

Snuffy Stirnweiss - Batting title in 1945 and arguably an even better season in 1944, finishing 3rd and 4th in MVP voting in those two "war" years.

Nice! Taking it back to the old days. Let's bring it to one of my favorites though:
Sir Sidney "Snacks" Pontoon!
(Sidney Ponson)
