Alfredo Aceves The Yankees - frustratingly - let him go in free agency to the Boston Red Sox, who wore him out in 2011 with 114 innings of relief plus four starts for a sparkling 2.61 ERA. He was never the same after that season.

Wade Boggs. Had to forgive him for the RedSox years, but once i did, he made a fine Yankee.
Remember his Rookie year in Boston? He Wally Pipped Carney Langford when Lansford went down with an injury and Boggs hit .349…

He Wally Pipped Carney Langford when Lansford went down with an injury and Boggs hit .349… Carney Lansford was rock solid. He hit .300 five times, including two years at .336, the first of which was a batting title.
