I thought for sure this guy was lost forever after last season. In the end, messing with his delivery may wind up helping him after all. Sometimes you have to get lost before you find your way… |

Sometimes you have to get lost before you find your way… Or, he's just getting stronger at 22 than he was at 20, and he wasted a year trying to lose his natural windup. |

Sign of the times with hype lists, prospect rankings, etc. Would love to see Deivi and even Florial figure it out again at AAA and provide options at ML level. Or at the minimum recoup some value and be used in July trades.
I am sure Deivi found last season to be difficult and put in big effort this offseason strength wise and getting back to his delivery.

Deivi bouncing back so quickly early in the year was not something I expected. He's been a nice surprise though its just Spring Training. Our farm does look good right now in all the rankings and lists. I still think we need another starter so it would be wise to use some of those prospects to get one. |

I don't think they'd even let Deivi pitch in the majors any time soon no matter how well he does in Spring Training or early in the year. Manaea would be more of a sure thing. At some point they're gonna have to go for a championship full force. Judge/Stanton/Cole are not getting any younger. Though one year of Manaea would be a rough sell for any good prospects. |
