I work for the state. Who can afford to golf? You have lifetime medical benefits and a 401K big enough to buy Taj Mahal. Quit crying…

I will get about 9,000 a year and no medical benefits (I only worked for the state 11 years, I was in universities not an employee most of my life). But if I was braver I could have worked in the private sector - I just was too afraid of getting fired.

An interception or even better a pick-six in football is right up there. A hole in one has to be the ultimate - I wish I could tell you definitively. For me on the mound, a strikeout swinging on a fastball felt awesome. Game winning RBI/walk-off is right there, too. Any hockey fans? Scoring a goal must be pretty fulfilling? I never had a hole in one, either. Maybe I’ll change my mind some day, but I view it as mostly luck. I did drop a 100 yard wedge for an eagle on a par 5 once, and I once holed out from 140 yards for a birdie after having been in the woods after three shots on a par four 18th hole…and I told a buddy it was luck, to which he replied, “No. you were trying to do it. Take credit for it.” Not a bad philosophy… There is certainly some luck involved; however, it's interesting how the best players also seem to be the luckiest players. A friend of mine and I were playing at a course in Louisiana called Squirrel Run - I am not sure if it is still there or the name has changed. Anyway, I scorched a drive right down the center of the fairway, and my buddy Jimmy hit too big of a draw and ended up off the fairway on top of a dirt pile that was being used by maintenance as filler around the course. As I walked down the middle of the fairway, Jimmy ascended the dirt pile and began laughing. He motioned for me to join him before he hit his shot. On top of the pile of fill dirt was a patch of turf about three inches square, and his ball was perfectly placed atop the grass, as if on a tee. Jimmy hit a perfect shot onto the green for a birdie putt attempt. As we approached the center of the lush green fairway, my ball was smack-dab in the center of a two-inch deep divot - the only divot around. One inch in any direction and it would have been a perfect lie. Someone had probably chunked their third shot where my drive landed. Jimmy could not stop laughing - this always happened. Jimmy got the lucky bounces and even my good shots found trouble.

Donaldson on playing with Cole. Yeah, Donaldson went 0-fer against Cole after making those comments. Cole stared him down after the first strikeout and again after the second strikeout in two at bats. No Spider-Tack needed.

Despite 4 graduate degrees, in an era that such should matter and sql expertise I never made much money.

After Cole what is our line up this year. I have no clue. Especially since German may be on the IL A statement like this is a stunning reveal into why you shouldn’t be knocking this roster. You know little beyond the offensive numbers. The pitching and fielding abilities are equally important. If you’ve forgotten the pitching staff you should be solving that before predicting the team’s demise…

Supposedly, the Twins plan to use Gary Sanchez as a DH and back up catcher. That is after the Twins traded starting catcher Mitch Garver. Of course, this was according to Bob "Never Right" Nightengale, so Sandwich may be closing. yanksgoyard.com/2022/03/14/yankees-news-twins-plan-for-gary-sanchez-nyy-wrong-all-along/"But you know the Yankees … they need to see their plans all the way through so they can handle everything on their terms or prove all the doubters wrong."
