This trade is kinda meh overall and now we have IKF With Gary Sanchez lines.

Trade not looking so good. The main detraction is paying Donaldson's full contract. Could have used that money on Verlander, signed a stop gap SS, and then called up Peraza mid season.

Trade not looking so good. The main detraction is paying Donaldson's full contract. Could have used that money on Verlander, signed a stop gap SS, and then called up Peraza mid season. Not one of Cash's better trades but he did get rid of Sanchez. Cashman is sticking with IKF no matter what. He doesn't want Peraza or any other prospect to get early service time. Yanks could have another Juan Soto in their minors and wouldn't call him up until he's twenty four. |

Donaldson's contract is the kicker, the Yankees are on the hook for it next season too. Meanwhile the Twins used the money they saved to sign Correa, I wonder if they will vote Cashman a playoff share if they make the playoffs? |
