I did not see a .271 number for our new shortstop. I am delighted it is true.
I think he will be the SS this year. I expect LMH to play first or third and Voit to play first when LMH is not.
I don't assume the Yankees will ever make a trade for an elite player. Cashman simply is not willing to risk blue chip player, afraid he will get burnt. His excuse is always, they wanted too much which I am sure is true from his perspective.
I think we will on occasion invest in a big name free agent, but only a pitcher and probably not while the Cole contract exists. It is why I was unthrilled by his signing.
