If we don't get a good return for a guy who is a good number three in the right environment, why don't we just keep him? Good #6, spot starter/reliever. Who know’s? Given another season, and the pressure taken off he may settle in. The sample size is pretty big, but stranger things have happened...if we get an injury, and let’s face it, that’s pretty likely...Sonny could save the season...How ironic would that be?...

While I don’t disagree with you, if we shelter ourselves so thoroughly, how will we ever know when Jonathan Loaisiga grows up? German? Anyone else?... Now, saying this, if we could reasonably still obtain Syndergaard, Kluber, or Bauer...even Robbie Ray... I’d take that in a minute. Dare I say a New York minute? I always wondered why the New York minute is preferred over say, the San Antonio minute...the Bangkok minute?...

The talent is there but he just hasn't put it all together. Offer him up with Gray to the Reds for Scooter Gennett.

I would make that trade instantly, but I think you’re being too hard on Domingo German. He’s allowed less than a hit per nine at the MLB level, and he’s not far away from limiting his walks. The only issue has been too many gophers. It’s a command issue that I can see him maturing past...Perhaps he’ll wind up a late inning reliever... maybe he’ll make a decent starter yet...

And we should always be grateful.

And we should always be grateful. We should also be grateful that Swisher chose just the right time to leave town. His production hit the skids...As much as we loved our "Nick the Butcher", we would have started to hate him...

Cashman has done this so many times that Yankees fans seem to take it for granted.

Take what for granted....;-) We took the expertise and all of the inside news from Yankee54 for granted, and look what happened. We’ve been left here alone to figure not only the Yankees out...but life itself...I hope the trash collectors never take him for granted. If they do, they’ll all be about $8 per year poorer...They’ll have to out to lunch on “Graze On The Marino’s Lawn Day”... Of course, he’ll lose out too. He always requested they return the favor by crapping on the lawn after lunch to chip in with the fertization process...

Speaking of taking things for granted, this was a nice little thread. Lookit what I went and did to it...
This is also what keeps Jwild away, I guess... though somehow he never blames me directly for that. The group takes the hit... (:
