So, how much will one of these cost you? 18 bucks [img alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/udcwFqPimnXDtjoTmoVL.gif" class="smile"] Yikes, that's enough to make a drunk go sober!!!

Holy Crap! This is a sign of the apocalypse, I tell you. Eighteen dollars a beer? Hell the ugliest hookers outside the ball park are probably $15.00 ...

You know what this offense needs? A fifth outfielder! I know a man who's perfect for the part! Our old friend Bernie Williams! He's keeping himself in great shape! Sorry guys, I forgot to make this joke at the beginning of the season like I do every season. That probably explains our early struggles. Now that I've gotten the Bernie joke out of the way, the season can really begin! Apparently he's playing guitar in the PR. Did the anthems for the game today!!!

Tequila & I were wondering What's Up with Sonny Gray = 6.42 ERA On the other hand 'Old Man Colon' has a 1.45 ERA Maybe we should have signed Colon as a FA & never traded for Gray (keeping our Prospects)??? Gray's gonna make YOU eat a hat!!! I GUARANTEE it. Especially with his new/old style he'll be trying to get back to

No doubt Kahnle has been struggling...Chapman is seldom topping 100 MPH to date, as well...Is some of this due to the cool weather? We'll see in time... Once the weather heats up... So will the Yankees!!! Was it Inger who brought up the Yankees throwing more breaking pitches than any other team and breaking balls not having as much "bite" in the cold???

So underrated.

I'm totally guilty of under rating him. As a kid I always wanted a super star on the Yankees. Even when we were winning world series after world series... I was greedy and wanted a Griffey JR. how weird is it that all those teams of the dynasty years.. we "only" have Jeter and Mo as HOF players. And neither one I would consider an MVP super star type AROD player. Anyways that MVP super star player I always wanted to be a replacement for Bernie. Why? IDK. But I always thought it would be so cool to have Griffey JR in CF.
Lost in all this... Baseball is a team sport. Better to have a bunch of really good.. above average players than a super star or two. And clutch pitching. Another under rated Yankee... EL DUQUE. That guy was clutch for us. Yet he's not given the credit deserved because he wasn't a super star... But without him... I can think of at least one world series we wouldn't have won

Gardner continues to be under rated and under valued by many...He's been nothing but completely solid...I think if he would have kept using his speed to the max in stealing more bases he'd be more celebrated, but I also think that it takes a toll on his body and he may have missed more time than he has...Mixed blessing so to speak...
Bernie was INCREDIBLE! I also wish he could have learned to steal bases with his speed, but for some reason, it wasn't meant to be...But the power he developed was unexpected and more than made up for that...

I love the fact that Gardner sees so many pitches. That's my favorite part of his game for me.

For his career he stole 147 bases and was caught 87 times for a percentage of only 63 percent. That's not horrible but it's not great. Just not a natural base stealer. Some players just don't have the good basestealing instincts.

I always thought Bernie ran like many a cartoon character. They sort of run in place at first trying to gain traction, and then they go. He was fast. Just couldn't get out of the blocks.

Anyone notice who is second on the team in RBI this season? Sanchez, an he's hitting .190. He's a sleeping beast.

Don't know why, but he could fly once he got moving...I think I was bit like that. I always had pretty heavy legs, but they were very strong. I was usually the center fielder. Not as fast as Bernie, but I will guarantee you I threw better...
