He’s flashy and exuberant. He might be a fit in boosting energy, and perhaps a viable leadoff option, though he could be a bit better at getting on base… he’s a better option than anyone we currently have. Speed and power on offense. Defensively, he showed promise at 2B as a young man. Average range, but a bit error prone for a 2B. In cf he’s been sure handed but his range suggests he should be playing a corner if he’s out there. If Marcus Stroman is a fit for this team, I don’t see why Chisholm can’t, unless his ego makes him a poor fit on a team where he’s not going to be as “important” as he is now. If he can accept the Yankee way and follow the veterans, he can be fine… .247 .310 .441 .751 103 13 HR, 21/8 (72%) stealing, but 80/26 (75%), but his running would be curtailed a bit here. He’s on pace for a 20/30 season, but as a free swinger with 150 K pace he does have faults. You wonder if as a lefty swinger we could see him convert 20/30 into 30/20?… Haircut time! I think his best long term position would be 2B, but we need to calm him down a bit there or he’ll remind us a lot of Gleyber… Left field shouldn’t be a long term need unless we move Jasson… and I sure wouldn’t move him for Jazz alone…

.251/.325/.412, 28% K-rate in 2024. Career .247 hitter with "okay" power and a 31% K-rate. Personality aside, I'm not sure he's a very big upgrade, bat-wise.

If Marcus Stroman is a fit for this team, I don’t see why Chisholm can’t, Does he know a place..."where the gin is cold, but the piano's hot". Or maybe "a noisy hall where there's a nightly brawl"

Soto and Judge and Cole cast long shadows. They allow individuals to be themselves but not at the expense of the team and the positive culture. I would have been more concerned about Verdugo, and he has seemingly fit in without incident.

Tommy isn't one of my favorites but credit must be given when he steps up when the Yankees need it.

Tommy isn't one of my favorites but credit must be given when he steps up when the Yankees need it. Instead of being referred to as a “change up” artist he should be regarded as a fastball artist, for the fast ball is actually his “Surprise” pitch…Very clever in a back door sort of way…

Tommy isn't one of my favorites but credit must be given when he steps up when the Yankees need it. Sometimes, pitchers need to get their legs underneath them when transitioning from the IL. And, his fastball has improved from his first several outings. He definitely shut the door last night, and then he followed it with what I think was the first 1-2-3 inning for the Yankees.

Both playing and talking his way out of NY… sad, but true…

That’s the spirit! I never could understand Mark Teixeira’s intransigence for refusing to bunt with only one defender between second and third, or Phil Hughes’ aversion to learning a change up to keep batters off of his fastball. Yes, new is uncomfortable, but you’re paid millions to be part of a team.

As many times as I've said I believe Gleyber is best suited to play 3B, it's a bit much to ask a player in his walk year to move to a position he's never played at this point in the season.
