Why Yankees rookie Austin Wells immersed himself in the team’s storied catching history
Love to hear that Wells cares about the Yankee's great past at the catching position. It's amazing that they have 5 catchers with their numbers retired.

In my opinion...As with the Yankees trade for Leiter, so far, the Orioles late season trades for Soto, Slater, Jimenez, Rogers are nothing to brag about.
Also, in my opinion...So far, the Orioles made a good trade for Dominguez, as the Yankees did when they traded for Jazz.

Wow, where did this come from? Not what Nestor and the Yankees need right now. I guess that means Stroman will be starting tonight?

This has really been a tale of 3 seasons in 1.
Mar 28-Jun 12: 49-21 (.700) Jun 13-Jul 26: 11-24 (.314) Jul 26-Present: 32-21 (.604)
They're clearly nowhere near as good as the first or as bad as the second. I'd say they pretty much have settled into who they are since July 26. I have a lot of doubts about this teams ability to win a World Series, or even a pennant. Aside from Judge/Soto, the lineup is really a crap shoot with a lot of spots that are wasted ABs too frequently. Aside from Cole (who has been bad himself at times this season), I don't have a lot of confidence in anyone else. Rodon has been good lately, but if we've learned one thing watching him in pinstripes, inconsistency is an issue. Nestor is hurt, who knows what (if anything) we get from him. Schmidt has been excellent, but he's unproven. Same with Gil. Strohman is unusable. The BP has been quite good for a few weeks now, and appears to have found a closer...but do they regress? Lot of concerns, but that's every team this year. Like I said, I'm not real bullish on our chances given all of the above, but if a few guys get hot, who know? Feels like it's wide open this year.

Just throwing this out there. I hope Luke Weaver takes the closer role and has a long career in Pinstripes. I love the guy's interviews. It's so great to hear someone have fun and not just give the same canned answers.
