Gee, our old LaSalle ran great! Those were the days!!! Mister we could use a man like Travis Ishikawa again? Perhaps the single most forgettable New York Yankee in history?...

Gee, our old LaSalle ran great! Those were the days!!! Mister we could use a man like Travis Ishikawa again? Ishikawa ended up picking up a world series ring with the Giants the very next season. It's better to be lucky than good.

Minor move by Cashman, more depth for the bullpen.

Maybe Jake Barrett will be the Aaron Small of 2019 -- a guy who comes out of nowhere in a bad time and pitches way over his head for a couple of months. I will grasp at any straw that comes this way.

Minor move by Cashman, more depth for the bullpen. Barrett tops out at 97. His slider has a high swing and miss rate despite a so-so spin rate. His difficulty consistently finding the strike zone has held his career back since a decent debut (despite a high walk rate) in 2016. Back of the bullpen depth who has had a so-so 4.05 career ERA. He’s never started a game, strictly a relief piece...A good 2019 would be one where we do not have to promote him...But he’s not a horrible option if need arises...

River Ave Blues is closing their site at the end of the month - riveraveblues.com/I was never a bigger reader of that site and never cared for Axisa too much but still sad to see a big Yankees site go I am a regular reader of the site. There is no other regular blog of the Yankees that updates as much and at least tries to keep up with the games and news around the team. So this is very unfortunate news for me. Yes, Axisa can be a dope. But it seems like it was the only show in town. So I'll be sad to see it go.
