Wouldn't it be something, if the Yankees in two years have Peraza and Volpe, but are still looking for a centerfielder and a replacement for Aaron Judge and a first baseman? That’s more or less the way the system generally works. It’s really quite idiotic that players get their reward after their prime has expired… |

What is Boone doing? You don't take Cole out in this situation, that's his runner out there and let him finish off the inning. You know Cole hates it. He may go 0-0 this year in 30 starts. Maybe I'm making too much of this, but I think it changes the mind set of the team when your ace is treated like that. |

I would love to see more argument from the pitchers, like Cole did last season during that game when he barked Boone back into the dugout. |

The Parrot traded New York style pizza for deep dish. Give me NY pizza any day and twice on Sunday. Not that I mind the pizza casserole that is Chicago Pizza. We went to a small bedroom community outside of Colorado Springs the other day, Calhan. We stumbled on the best pizza we have eaten since we came out west. When the bill came, we could see that the owners were quite proud of it, but couldn’t really complain because it was so good. $24, which included a couple of iced teas, so not outrageous, but hefty for a 12” pepperoni. Damned good, but almost two hours from us… |
