Yeah. He'll never make it in the big leagues. Yet another ejaculation… Speaking of which, Russ picks some odd times to go shopping and clean his house.

It seems Bugles are the snack that will not die. They were discontinued in Canada in 2010 but brought back in 2011 due to popular demand. They were discontinued in the UK in the early 2000s. The Brits held out until 2016 when they made a triumphant return. However, Pizza Spins, Jello Pudding Pops and Onyums are long dead and gone. I liked pudding pops. My first girlfriend had those at her house. We didn't have junk food very often or really at all. Instead, we had every and all the vegetables you could eat in our garden. What kid doesn't like turnips more than Doritos? Man I love turnips. Always grew them in my gardening days. But for sure as a kid I would have chosen Doritos. Since we're talking root vegetables, rutabagas are vastly underrated IMO.

Inger's boy looks faster since the injury! He as 2 out of 5 stealing last year, but he made a premature return after his injury… So 32/0 in his career when not in direct recovery from a severe injury…

Speaking of which, Russ picks some odd times to go shopping and clean his house. He’s a sort of masochistic fan. W once it appears the Yankees will probably win and there is little to complain about, he loses interest… I like to keep watching, hoping we can pile on runs and make it more fun…

Ralph Kiner interviewing a 20ish David Cone. Why did Ralph Kiner only play 10 seasons? Did he get hurt?

Three run lead in the ninth inning. Sherlock Holmes for the save.

No, not his cuteness. I like that he steals bases so well in an era where it’s a dead art… I think he’s about average in CF, because his speed makes up for some poor routes. And I think with playing time and at bats he won’t get here, he could be an effective OBP lead off type… I was surprised his homer traveled 415. Maybe there’s more pop there than we know because he tries to slap his way on…

For a wonderful raw eating vegetable along those lines, did you grow kohlrabi? No, never grew that one. It wasn't much known back in the day. I did grow parsnips. Anything from your own garden is good. I used to grow watercress because you can plant it with snow on the ground and it germinated in about a week. Radishes are fun for easy early results. How about you. Kohlrabi in the garden? Celeriac perchance?
