Remember former Penn State/Cleveland Browns running back Tim Manoa? I do, him and the late, great Steve Smith were a fullback tandem on a national champion Penn St squad. Good recall Chi. As I'm sure you know, Steve died from ALS last year.

Watching my poor neighbor continue to shrink and shrivel, though his spirits are amazing. A man who maybe 2 years ago bench pressed 565 pounds three times in a row, now in a motorized wheel chair. Those of us with the slightest bit of good health remaining are so fortunate…

Even though victims live longer than in Lou Gehrig's day, it doesn't seem as if there have been any major breakthroughs.

He was told he had 2-5 years to live last year, and they also have told him since the disease is accelerating… Nice man, 52. Two of the nicest, polite children (19 and 24), wife and daughter both gorgeous ladies. I feel guilty for feeling like I have problems…

The Jays have a mop on first base… Replacing Teoscar Hernandez, who is rehabbing. Tapia's name sounds too much like Talapia, the thought of which irritates my digestive system.

It makes me want to visit the gator farm down near the Great Sand Dunes National Monument. It all started when a guy was looking for a way to keep his talapia farm cleaned up and was offered a gator. Now it’s a full blown tourist attraction… I wonder if Teoscar is a tegrouch? …
