It makes me want to visit the gator farm down near the Great Sand Dunes National Monument. It all started when a guy was looking for a way to keep his talapia farm cleaned up and was offered a gator. Now it’s a full blown tourist attraction… I wonder if Teoscar is a tegrouch? … Hah. I don't think it was there when we lived out that way. Great Sand Dunes is definitely an unusual place. The guy was fortunate to find thermal water on his property. Nice, fresh thermal rather than the nasty sulphuric thermal that smells like you’re sitting in poo-water. Since he has buildings over it, the environment is tropical and will support reptile life. I went there once to try to pedal propane. Should have bought a ticket and went on in. He now has a white gator that has appeared in movies and apparently other reptiles and birds that befit the tropical environment. One of these days when I have nothing to do, I’m heading down there. Only a couple hours away. We e been to the dunes. To me it’s a once in a lifetime, I saw it, don’t need to see it again kind of thing. Some love to go and sled down… although you have to trudge up those mamas first. There’s a housing development on the east side of the primary access road now… though it’s hidden by the foothills… |

They just posted a stat that at 13-2, Manoah has the third best W-L percentage of any pitcher in his first 24 starts over the past 50 years. Ahead of him are Kirk Reuter (!) and Roy Oswalt.
