MLB cut out so I missed the final out. Odds of getting a hit there were not great. Doing well as a team even if people like me want more hitting.  |

Needed Locastro to steal 2nd before the Donaldson base hit. Didn't look to me that they made much of an effort to do that, he really did not have that great a lead. |

Eh I figured sweeping this was unlikely, but they came close. Rangers next kind of a weird scheudle coming up after that 2 against the Jays again at home but then they have alternating Home/Away series against the White Sox and Orioles for 2 straight weeks. 7 against each team.

As it is, tho, he wasn't the only one not hitting tonight. |

That’s two starts in a row now that Cortes has piled up a big pitch count early in the game. I wonder if the batters are simply laying off pitches they were swinging at earlier this season and last season? Or is he having some mechanical issue?
Some of the signs point to possibly over-throwing a bit, trying to get a little more mustard on his pitches, whether it’s a bit of speed or spin.
I hope he figures it out before his next start. He’s a fun player to watch, but if he can’t perform, someone else could come along and steal that rotation spot…
