Last-place Boston is leading Atlanta 6-1. But Baltimore is up 3-0 over St. Louis. We need to keep rubbing Boston's face in the dirt at every opportunity.

We have 0 hits and I blame it on inger... I told them not to release the offense until the sixth inning… And then put the petal to the metal… Like Zuzu's petals, they aren't there either.

Whitey wouldn’t have allowed it to be hit where it was… Hey, I was going to call for you to back me up Inger. As charter members of the Fair Play For Tom Tresh Committee. Actually, though it was never officially announced, Treshism has been adopted as a branch religion of Gardnerism. We also must recall that Tresh’s loss of prolific numbers was also tied to the dead ball era of the mid-60’s. If anyone here wants to argue it was NOT a true deadball era, just take a peek at the painfully constructed chart below (if the format is kind enough told hold together: TOM TRESH 1964-5-6 1964 .279/26/74/.348/.477 OPS + 134 1965 .233/27/68/.341/.431 OPS+ 123 1966 .219/14/53/.301/.377 OPS+ 104* * Even in todays “dead ball” era, those numbers are not going to post at 104 OPS+. No way… Add to that, and I find this to be impressive, he breaks in as a ROY 23 year old SS. The next season Injury to Mantle forces him to takeover CF. When Mantle returns he shifts to left field, afterward, with Mantle being sent to 1B to save his legs, Tresh returns to CF. At 29, one season away from his final season in the game he is shifted back to starting SS. Simply a remarkable Swiss Army knife of a player…
