22-8 and 4.5 games up in the AL East. Now they come to Chicago for 4 games. We're going through a heat wave right now in Chicago, but it should cool down a little for the weekend. How far is Guaranteed Rate Field from where you live? It's about a 30 minute drive on a normal traffic day. I wanted to go to Friday or Saturday's game but the problem is I'm running a marathon this weekend! I just can't make it to a game.

It's too bad they couldn't start the marathon at your house and run to the ballpark.

Gleyber's average isn't much but he has been driving in runs.

I won't call the ballpark by it's fake commercialized name.

Mmmmmmm, love me a good Mac N' Cheese. Surprised Wal Mart brand is better Kraft. I'd try it but the Walmart close to where I live closed down. Wal-Mart has some of their "Great Value" brand products that are surprisingly good. Their ice cream is cheap and really good. I saw online that their Mac and Cheese had won a blind taste contest with fifteen or sixteen other major brands. It was chosen first, so I tried it. It's the cheapest, too. I even bought one of their frozen pizzas, and for a frozen pizza it wasn't bad. There are some brands that I always go back to, though. Heinz Ketchup, Lea and Perrin's Worcestershire sauce, Helmann's mayonnaise, Heinz Sweet Pickle Relish, Bush's Baked Beans, Ken's Steakhouse Buttermilk Ranch dressing, just to name a few. Anyone else with brand loyalties? Heinz sweet relish is a definite. I would love to find their sweet pickles, but since I can’t, Great Value has been my go to. Dreamfield’s pasta. Jif peanut butter. Velveeta cheese, Hunts spaghetti sauce and paste (I buy both with garlic and basil cooked in and then add more Italian spices and more garlic salt. Charmin toilet paper. I tend toward Del Monte veggies, but will change up. The Bush’s baked beans (original). Lance crackers in those small 6-packs. Just to change up, I shop Safeway once in a while, and King Soopers on rare occasion. I hit our local Italian Market for pre-made ravioli that are super tasty, especially the beef ones. I want to start hitting the meat markets instead of buying meat at the grocery stores, but convenience usually wins out and I pick up whatever looks fresh on any given day. With meat prices as they are, I look for small cuts that don’t leave left overs when ever I can. Ruthie has a bad habit of wanting to cook the whole pack of whatever I buy, which can lead to waste. I control that by buying small packages… Oh… Monterrey for my frozen chimichangas. I’m still over-indulging on those babies…
