About the size of a can of veggies, whatever that is. Neither one of us wants the pasta soaked. Enough is enough, ya’ know… So you're making pasta much closer to dishes in Italy, rather than the American version. I enjoy both versions. I'll have to try it. It's just sauce and the pasta, right? No ground beef or Italian sausage? Yes. It’s a little “stickier” than many of the sauces I get at Italian restaurants, where it seems a bit watery to me (though usually still pretty tasty. I attribute the stickiness to the use of the tomato paste. I like it because it stays on the pasta, giving flavor. Maybe that’s also why we prefer a less sauce…Like many things, it’s to taste, right? I also cook my spaghetti to the Al dente directions on the package, but I find I like it better cooked about 30 seconds longer to take just enough toughness out of it without an obvious overcook. Over cooked is much worse than under-cooked… but just right is great!

I prefer Barry Bonds, or even Walt Bond. Now there’s a name for Pipps and desousa! Big Walter Bond. Died at a very young age. I wanted to revisit this because I remember quite well that Walt Bond actually played in the majors in 1967 suffering from leukemia and died during that same season. He played his final game in May and died in September at the age of 29. When Aaron Judge first played CF, he joined Walter Bond as the only 6'7" players at the position. The only other player I can think of who died from an illness and had played within that same year was Twins SS Danny Thompson. He played his final game in October 1977 and died in December. Like Bond, he was 29 and died from leukemia. Well, there was also Yankee pitcher Urban Shocker, who played his final game in May of 1928 and died from a longstanding heart condition in September of that year. Of course there have been other players who died suddenly within a year in which they were active. I was thinking in terms of a progressive illness.
