Another hard hit for Higgy.

Ah, I rarely pay attention to the National League, so Carpenter is more or less unknown to me. I could be wrong but at 36, he's probably lost some mobility. Yep, he used to be a pretty good defensive third baseman and all-around solid player.

The Cubs announcing crew is so into this game they are discussing who was whacked outside of Sparks Steakhouse in NYC.

To steal from Reggie, they don't boo or hate nobodies. Kay mentioned earlier today that between inter-league play and two World Series, the Yankees are 22-4 against the Cubs. Soon to be 23-4. People who couldn't name five professional sports franchises will claim to hate the Yankees. Idiots. That’s what I always find. “I hate the Yankees.” “Why.” “Cuz, Derek Jeter.” “”You know he’s been retired quite a few years, right?” “No. I don’t watch that much.” “I can tell.”…

I like this new contact-producing Judge. He’s swinging within himself, looks relaxed. Like a real superstar…

In his career, Matt Carpenter has played 25 games in the outfield, none of them in centerfield. Chiefly, a third baseman that can play first and second.

Please, God, bring back Paul O'Neill. What's the deal there? I haven't heard Maybin lately either. Beltran is just awful. He brings nothing to the broadcast and he's hard to understand. Which may be a good thing actually. He sounds like Baba Looey from "Quick Draw McGraw." If the Yankees simply want a Hispanic broadcaster, Ricky Ricardo, who does Spanish-language broadcasts for both the Yankees and Phillies, is very good. Put Mo or Posada in there. Anyone.

I've seen those Mafia crime shows on A&E. Remember, when A&E really was arts and entertainment and not the highlights of human garbage? Just like the History Channel now has very little to do with history.
