How about 7 hits  You do realize of course that the Yankees lead the AL in runs per game with 5.12 and are second only to the Dodgers at 5.15 per game in all of baseball. I am sure you understand the difference between runs and hits. I like to watch hits, steals, hit and ruds not walks and home runs ... |

I remember angering a Red Sox fan on a Red Sox site when I thought that David Robertson would be a better reliever than Bard. It's easy to anger Red Sox fans. Daniel Bard has certainly had his moments, and he could blow hitters away in his prime, but Robertson has accomplished a lot more. I checked their career ERA+ -- Robertson is 146, Bard is 118. Advantage Rizzuto. I used to pen fake news stories on that Red Sox site. Some of the posters were true baseball fans with senses of humor. Several of the dullards would admonish me for not attributing "the news story" to the author. Another Yankee fan would always chime in, "He is the author, you moron!" Or, something to that effect. |

My point was that some don't care about hits and some do. And I was right. For most of baseball history it was a lot more like I prefer. Hopefully it will be like that again. As soon as the game is over, Greta will get a nice bath with Oatmeal Shampoo. It smells much better in here now. I still have to wash her doggie bed, too. I may wait until tomorrow to go to Walmart to buy the rug/carpet cleaner - I've decided on the Bissell. |
