Holmes having his roughest outing of the year. This isn't feeling good. Pitchers are creatures of habit. It's like Boone is a first year manager in high school. When I was a kid, every manager would have a righty and a lefty warming up in case a starter ran out of gas in the later innings. They were both hot and ready when the call came. Not a difficult decision in the eighth and with Cole over 100 pitches. |

Cole already has difficulty getting over in-game disappointments. It is unfathomable that Boone would not have a reliever ready to go once the no hitter was over in the eighth inning. |
