We all understand that Cole is not pitching past the seventh inning with his pitch count, right? It's almost become a consensus throughout baseball to remove the starter even if he's pitching a no-hitter if he gets much over 100 pitches. I hate it. |

He's had such a positive impact on the Yankees' overall approach this season. What an upgrade over Voit. I wanted Freeman, but I'm not sure how much he would add beyond what Rizzo has done. Freeman is less likely to break down and hits for a higher average. Both excellent fielders and solid baserunners. Freeman is faster, but Rizzo has had so many big hits this season, and Freeman hasn't found his power stroke this season...yet. Rizzo is also a bargain for the contract he signed. |
