I hate fracking Walls in the field. On base, he's a friend.

Yeah. Although for a four million dollar difference, I don't know why the Yankees don't just give it to him instead of listing reasons why he doesn't deserve it. That can't help the free agent process. Yankees must be rooting for Mike Trout, who has silently climbed in front of Judge in OPS and WAR.

That can't help the free agent process. You can make the case that Judge has already earned the 16 million that the Yankees won't to pay him for this season.

In that case they would like to have the more room to make trades and such.

The third luxury tax tier is $270M and at that point next year’s first round pick moves back 10 spots. The Yankees treated the third threshold as a hard cap in 2019 and 2020.

I wish the Yankees would have thought of all of this before the added Donaldson's contract to the payroll.

Oh yea, I think the Yanks are crazy to have any kind of cap when you have a historic season and a chance for a championship going.

Trout is going to miss tonight's game because he's "sore". Trout was really injured badly last season, but he's only played three fewer games than Judge this season.
